Handmade to Order & Order Processing

Every Shay Kawaii piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand in our Miami atelier, not pulled from a warehouse shelf. That's what makes each piece special, and it's also why we ask for a little patience between the moment you order and the moment it ships. Here's exactly what happens in between.

Most of our pieces aren't pre-made. When you place an order, our team begins cutting and sewing your item from scratch, using the fabric, color, and size you selected. This is why our current making time runs 12 to 15 business days before your order ships; every piece gets real, hands-on attention rather than being mass-produced ahead of time.

• Quality over speed: Handmade construction means tighter stitching, better fit, and fewer of the quality issues that come with rushed mass production.
• Made specifically for you: Your exact color and size combination is cut and sewn only after you order it; nothing sits in inventory waiting to be picked.
• Small-batch atelier: Our team works out of a single studio in Miami, which keeps quality consistent, but does mean production takes real time.

Some of our pieces are already made and sitting ready in our studio; these are marked "Ready to Ship" right on the product page. Ready to Ship orders skip the sewing step entirely and typically dispatch within 1 to 2 business days of your order, arriving noticeably faster than our standard handmade-to-order pieces.

Ordering ahead is always the safest bet if you have an event, vacation, or specific date in mind. If you're on a tight timeline, email us at contact@shaykawaii.com before placing your order; we'll let you know honestly whether we can make your date work.

International orders follow the same handmade production timeline listed above, but may take longer to arrive once dispatched, as they're subject to customs processing in the destination country. We aren't able to control or predict customs delays once a package leaves our courier's hands.
