Every Shay Kawaii piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand in our Miami atelier, not pulled from a warehouse shelf. Here's exactly what happens between your order and your doorstep.
What "handmade to order" means
Most of our pieces aren't pre-made. When you place an order, our team begins cutting and sewing your item from scratch, using the fabric, color, and size you selected. Current making time is 6 to 8 business days before your order ships.

- Made specifically for you — your exact color and size is cut only after you order it
- Centralized production — all production done in one atelier keeps quality consistent
Ready to Ship items
- Already made and sitting ready in our studio
- Marked "Ready to Ship" on the product page
- Skip the sewing step entirely
- Typically dispatch within 1 to 2 business days
01 Order placed
The moment you check out, your order enters our production queue. You'll get an order confirmation email right away.
02 Sewing
Your piece is cut and sewn by hand in our Miami atelier. This is the longest step in the process.
03 Order dispatches
Once sewing and quality checks are complete, your order is packaged and handed to our courier. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking the moment this happens.
04 Delivered
Domestic orders typically arrive within a few business days of dispatch. International orders may take longer due to customs processing.
