Every Shay Kawaii piece is handmade in our Miami atelier. Each garment is individually cut, sewn, assembled, and finished by skilled professionals who bring our designs to life with care and precision.
Here are a few pro tips on how to care for your pieces so they stay as beautiful as the day they arrived.
Hand wash cold with a mild detergent. Work it gently through the fabric; no wringing, no twisting, no scrubbing. Never machine wash, and skip bleach and fabric softener entirely; both break down stretch fabrics and dull embellishments.
Air dry only. Lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Never put a Shay Kawaii piece in the dryer; heat damages elastic, vinyl, and adhesives.
Do not iron rhinestones, vinyl, holographic, or metallic fabrics. Heat will melt, cloud, or lift the finish permanently. If a piece needs smoothing, steam lightly from a distance on the reverse side.
Store flat or hanging, away from anything that could snag chains, mesh, or lace. Keep embellished pieces from rubbing against each other.
